Hello!

What better time than the middle of finals week to announce that the first issue of Building 45 is now live?

Building 45 is Chemeketa's new online literary/arts journal, dedicated to showcasing and publishing the work of current and former students. This first issue contains poetry, a short story, a short film, and various other items of interest.

It's no small feat to launch a new publication, and many people (faculty, staff, and students) have contributed to making this happen. To everyone who contributed: thank you. At the very least, you made my life a little easier, and that's something everyone should feel good about.

Please pass the url along to any and all who might be interested—and if you know any Chemeketa students who have written/produced/created anything that resembles a poem, essay, photograph, painting, drawing, short story, short play, short film, memoir, unclassifiable multimedia work, or pretty much anything that can be captured digitally and presented online, feel free to urge them to submit to our next issue, which is due out at the end of fall term:
