The US Department of Education provides a calculator to help you estimate the kinds and amounts of aid you may receive. Actual aid awarded will depend on available funds.
Applying for Aid
Apply as soon as possible. The process can take up to 12 weeks or more. See recommended deadlines.
If you're new to college, here's what you'll need to do:
Step 1 - Request a personal identification number (PIN) at www.pin.ed.gov. You will use this to "sign" your application. If you need to provide parent information, the parent who will sign your application will also need a PIN.
Step 2 - Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Chemeketa's federal school code is 003218.
When we receive your FAFSA data:
We send you a letter with the form(s) and request for documents to complete your file. When all the required items are returned to our office, your file will move into the review process. Review can take 6 to 8 weeks or more.
