For Fall Term, the Chemeketa Campus Writing Center will be offering expanded virtual (video) appointments and limited face-to-face appointments to help support student writing projects.
The Chemeketa Online Writing Center will continue to with increased capacity to serve all Chemeketa students seeking writing support.

Writing Center Benefits
The Writing Center is a useful tool not just for improving individual papers, but also for becoming a better writer—no matter your skill level.
Data shows that students who regularly use the Writing Center often achieve higher GPAs, and we can help with writing projects for any class.
Submit to the Online Writing Center
You can access online writing help for up to two assignments per week. While consultants do not edit your work, they will provide responses to your writing and help you read your work critically.

Be sure you read the submission instructions and feedback instructions on the homepage of the Online Writing Center. The Online Writing Center will generally respond to your submissions within 24 hours.
Work In-Person at the Writing Center
Note: We will have limited in-person appointments this term, and a more extensive virtual schedule.
While we won’t “fix” your paper for you, we will work with you to teach you writing skills and strategies, helping you improve your own writing assignments.
We will work with you on any aspect of a writing project, from understanding instructions and developing ideas to drafting, revising or editing—simply schedule a 30-minute one-on-one appointment with a Writing Center instructor.

- Follow the instructions in the Canvas course to make an appointment to meet with a Writing Center Faculty Mentor
- Schedule your appointment at least a day or two before your assignment is due
- Come prepared to your appointment
- Bring a copy of your assignment
- Choose one or two key areas for improvement
- Bring your draft and any instructor comments if you have them
